Hacker Simulator is a computer hacking simulation game with a storyline.
In Hacker Simulator, you play as a hacker named Alex, who does reasonable work by day and hacking work by night. Perhaps it's just your sleepiness, or the confidence of a routine hack, but one day you slip up and are caught by the German Duckman Corporation. From there, they enlist you to take up a few routine tasks for them... and after that, to clear their name. It turns out that the reason you were caught is because they were on guard for more hackers after their most recent bungle!
The game is played by typing commands and watching their results. Although your character is a skilled hacker, the game is kind enough to provide tutorials and guidance through its email system, from your employers and elsewhere. In spite of this, it is quite possible to be caught, forcing you to bail on jobs you're in the middle of – and you can get caught after the fact, too, if you don't clean up the files disturbed by your quick hacking.
Overall, Hacker Simulator is a fun game with a simulation side reminiscent of several other simulators on the market. What sets it apart is its defined storyline, speed of play, and the personality of its email correspondents, who give a little more edge to your actions as they pertain to the world. If you're in the mood to pretend to be a hacker, without actually crossing the law, Hacker Simulator is a fairly good game.
